Blog the fourth. Whidbey.

Today was our family vaykay day. I believe the initial plan was to leave at 11 am ish so naturally we left at 2 pm. This meant that we could have gone to church but we did not. We drove about 2 hours and took a ferry to a beachy picnic place that looked unmistakably like Richmond Beach, which is 5 minutes from our house. Good food, though. Our dog Lucy enjoyed eating sand and jumping over fallen trees only to discover she couldn't actually make it all the way over the timber. Besdies the eating and leaping canine it was a pretty uneventful trip and I was particularly bummed that I had no iPod to occupy me.

After the family-a-go-go we went to Brad's (who is back from the Coast Guard Academy!) for the raditional Sunday night movie night. However the movie was shut down swiftly when it became too innapropriate and the unanimous decision was made to go to the beach instead. So several of us detatched from the group and went to Baskin Robins. Then I came home and watched two episodes of Law and Order CI.

Strange day.

Blog the third. Parlor.

So today started off quite slow. By slow I mean I was asleep until 11:30. I rarely sleep past 10:00 so this is a pretty big deal. Anyway, I booked my flight to Los Angeles today and spent $50 less than my parents did on the tickets. yay. Also I got my hair cut (photo #1!) and visited Slave to the Needle, a tattoo and piercing parlor in Seattle. No, I did not get a tattoo and no, I did not get a piercing. I made an appointment. Excitement. Tuesday is the big day. That won't be very big. I was told it only takes four minutes... I smell dinner.

So this photo needs some words for it. not 1,000 but some words just the same. Vnecks are my new favorite. Rick Alonzo paints sweet pictures. So does Leonardo de (da?) Vinci. I have far more tacks than I need. That self-made poster has been on my ceiling so long my bed isn't even under it anymore. M eyes were (and still are!) blue today despite my green shirt.

Blog the second. Dragon.

Dragon sounds like it starts with a "j" if you say it proceeding or preceding a word that actually starts with "j". In other news I'm moving to Los Angeles next summer (or this winter?) and piercing my lip... I need now to only find a sanitary place to cut the hole into my face. That's all I have to say about that.

I went to a show tonight. With friends. Ernie Halter and the BGP played. BGP stands for Brandon something Project. I know not the Brandon's last name. As far as quality goes Ernie's voice was very nice but his musicalness mediocre whereas BGP was great all around. Ha. I said (typed?) great.

end.

Blog the first. Ghoti.

So blogging has been around forever but I just today have decided to start my own. I don't ave any way to remember the peculiar things in life besides my memory so why not post for the world to see? Also I talk too much.

Okay enough reasoning.

One can spell the word "fish" using the letters "g", "h", "o", "t", and "i". I think this is amazing. It would never be usable in a real setting, but it is peculiar just the same.
Here's how:

The "gh" is pronounced like "enough"... "ff"
The "o" is pronounced like "women"... "ih"
The "ti" is pronounced like "nation"... "sh"

Result- ghoti! .... er... fish
